2020 Annual Report

A Year Like No Other

No one saw 2020 coming. However, nearly everyone was affected and numerous nonprofit organizations and public entities responded. On March 21 of 2020, the Iowa West Foundation announced the Southwest Iowa COVID-19 Relief Fund, in partnership with the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation, to amplify that response. Today approximately $2 million from that fund has helped feed the hungry in southwest Iowa, supply local hospitals with testing space and equipment, provide connectivity to virtual students, create unique face masks for the deaf community, launch a mobile wellness unit, and so much more. We want to recognize and thank those who rose to the unprecedented occasion. We appreciate you taking the time to read their stories and more on the pages that follow.
